Renters must contact AVIS at least 7 working days prior to the pick-up date to report the cross-border request for application of the special cross-border permit. Credit card information (number, expiration date, security code) is needed to secure the permit. If renters cancel the cross-border request less than 48 working hours before the pick-up date and time, an administrative fee will be charged to their credit card, and the amount of the fee will be the same as the cross-border fee. Notes: When crossing the border into Brazil, you can only travel to Foz do Iguazu in Brazil, and the driving distance within the territory of Brazil shall not exceed 50 kilometers.
